Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #134886
I am a Los Angeles based therapist providing services to individuals, couples, families, and children as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #7886). I passionately advocate for mental health through my work and writing as a blogger. It brings me great joy to help people live their most fulfilling lives and realize their full potential.
As a therapist, I believe in taking a holistic approach and catering to each client's unique, individual needs. I believe in treating the whole person rather than looking at a cluster of symptoms in isolation. My goal is to emphasize the value of awareness—about mental health, the world in which we live, and the individual experiences that help shape us. I strive to provide an avenue of open reception and recognition, one in which clients' experiences and needs are acknowledged with a deeper respect for individual histories and associated challenges.
I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A in Communication Studies and a minor in Psychology. I then completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
I was part of Pepperdine's Urban Fellows Program, a fellowship dedicated to building cultural competency through raising awareness and implementing strength-based models. I completed a portion of my clinical training at the Painted Brain, a non-profit community mental health center offering services to chronically mentally ill individuals. During my time there, I led therapeutic group interventions using various art activities to enhance social skills as well as write weekly blogs on mental health. I’ve also worked within the LACC district providing mental health services to college students.
I have worked with individuals and couples facing a variety of issues including but not limited to depression, trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, and interpersonal conflicts. I’ve received additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP).
